CoLA congregates for MOA Signing and Pinning Ceremony 2026

‎"When you have passion and when you truly love what you are doing, and you know why you are doing it, you'd find the strength to keep going." - Mr. Loi Bryan Verona ‎ ‎A total of 145 CoLA seniors were officially pinned during the MOA Signing and Pinning Ceremony held at Uriarte Subdivision Covered Court, January 29. ‎ ‎The senior students will be deployed to various Host Training Establishments (HTEs), including the Local Government Units of La Carlota, La Castellana, San Enrique, Pontevedra, and institutions such as Pax Catholic Academy, Colegio de La Castellana, and Pontevedra National High School. ‎ ‎Hon. Añejo Nicor, Municipal Mayor of La Castellana, emphasized the importance of education, highlighting that it is the best investment—the key that will help us change our situation in life. ‎ ‎The ceremony marked the transition from education to practice and formalized partnerships, outlining mutual responsibilities during the deployment. ‎ ‎Present at the event were Dr. Larnie Sam A. Tabuena, College President; Prof. Laurence M. Lachica, Head of the Students Affairs Office; Dr. Marilou B. Yanson, Dean of CoLA; Prof. Nicolas N. Galabasa, Program Head of CoLA; Prof. Angelo A. Belarmino, CoLA Internship Coordinator; Hon. Añejo Nicor, Municipal Mayor of La Castellana; Mr. Loi Bryan Verona, LGU Pontevedra; and Pastor Stephen Flora, College Library Aid and Instructor, along with the CoLA faculty and staff.

MAKE HASTE | CoLA holds a seminar for Debate and Public Speaking

The College of Liberal Arts held its first "Voice of the Youth: A Seminar in Debate and Public Speaking," and it was attended by a total of 150 third-year students today, December 09,2025 at the Graduate School Library. The seminar focused on developing the confidence of the students in various types of public speaking, such as oration and debate. The discussion was amplified by the resource person, Prof. Alma M. Gonora. She explained the importance of public speaking, elements of debate, and oration, including their key components, establishing the necessary factors for mastering the skills. MAKE HASTE | Celebrating Arts and Language in CoLA Integration Week 2025

"In arts and languages, united we stand; we also stand taller when we're lifting each other up, not pulling each other down," Prof. Laurence M. Lachica, emphasized. On the vibrant realm of arts and language, the College of Liberal Arts has come to its final quest, and the house that rise among other in the trials has been named as the Integration Week 2025 officially concluded. On the final day of the quest, each of the houses grace the stage as they competed in the K-pop Dance Arena where the House of Expressionists bagged the first place followed by the House of linguists clinched the second place and House of Eloquents placed third, respectively. The search for Mr. and Ms. Integration Week 2025 serves as the highlight of the final quest of each houses, where candidates showcased their beauty, wit and confidence in the stage as they battle for the crown and title to bring glory to their houses. The House of Eloquents representative Mary Ann Ronquillo and Sheruen Sebastian Villanueva from the House of Artists were crowned Mr. and Ms. Integration Week 2025. First runner up were Alicia Amy Villaruz from the House of Artists and Oliver Canionera from the House of Linguists. Place second runner up were Chris Edrian Galaura from House of Eloquents and Michelle Ann Cesa from the House of Revels. In addition, House of Artists clinched the overall champion as they are the first to acquire the target points and completed the four day-challenge given particularly to neophytes. The event concluded with the neophytes' pledged of knighthood investiture. _ This celebration marked another milestone for the College of Liberal Arts and the Arts and Language Club, serving as a testament to their relentless drive for Artians' excellence in the field of arts and language.
