"CHED-NIR Monitoring and Evaluation Team visits LCCC"

‎The Commission on Higher Education–Negros Island Region (CHED-NIR) Monitoring and Evaluation Team visited La Carlota City College today, April 13.The visitation was conducted to ensure that the college continues to uphold quality assurance in higher education by evaluating institutional compliance with national standards, assessing the readiness of academic programs, and reviewing student services.‎ The CHED-NIR Monitoring and Evaluation Team was composed of Benrie James Nufable, Supervising Education Program Specialist; Louie Callora, Education Supervisor II; John Rey Olpoc, Education Supervisor II; Noraisa Wee, Education Supervisor II; James Basas, Education Supervisor II; Jose Leonardo Degillo, Education Supervisor II; Patricia Beatrice D. ‎La Carlota City College's LCCC+AIDERS, in partnership with the La Carlota City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), wrapped up the 7th Basic Life Support and First Aid Training at the Friendship Hall, today, March 13. ‎ ‎The program highlights the continued commitment of LCCC and its partners to promote emergency response and life-saving skills among volunteers. ‎ ‎The five-day event was attended and facilitated by the DRRMO team namely Dr. Junnie Martin N. "LCCC joins National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill"

La Carlota City College participated in the 2026 First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, March 12. Students and staff practiced the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique and followed evacuation procedures to assess preparedness for seismic emergencies. ‎ ‎The drill aligns with national efforts, as the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) encouraged institutions to take part in earthquake preparedness activities to strengthen disaster resilience. ‎ ‎The exercise aims to improve coordination among national and regional response systems and assess readiness for a high-magnitude earthquake, or "The Big One." ‎ ‎The activity underscores La Carlota City College's commitment to national disaster preparedness. ‎ ‎Relevant source: ‎https://www.google.com/.../ph-earthquake.../story/%3famp

LCCC+Aiders convokes 7th Basic Life Support and First Aid Training

‎La Carlota City College’s LCCC+Aiders, in partnership with the La Carlota City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), held the 7th Basic Life Support and First Aid Training at the Friendship Hall, LCCC Main Campus, from March 9 to 13. ‎ The five-day intensive program aims to equip participants with essential life-saving skills, ensuring that volunteers and trainees are prepared to respond to medical emergencies. ‎ The event conducted seminars on various topics such as Introduction to First Aid, Guidelines in Giving Emergency Care, Emergency Care Demonstration, Patient Casualty Handling, Shock, Soft Tissue Injuries, Bone, Joint, and Muscle Injuries, Basic Extrication and Spinal Injury, Common Emergencies, Basic Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO). ‎ Skills training activities included Medical and Trauma Head-to-Toe Assessment, Bandaging, Immobilization and Splinting, Basic Extrication, Lifting and Moving Techniques, Basic Life Support for FBAO, and an Amazing Race with Skills Stations. ‎ ‎Present in today's program were Prof. Laurence M. Philippine Army holds 129th Anniversary through Blood Drive at LCCC

‎The 605th Community Defense Center (CDC), in an effort to strengthen community ties and save lives, conducted a blood donation activity with the theme, “Ang Inyong Matatag Ng Hukbong Katihan” held at La Carlota City College (LCCC)-Cubay Campus today, March 8. This event prioritizes blood donations to support citizens, students, soldiers, and reservists in times of emergency and disaster. It also serves as a highlight activity in their celebration of the Philippine Army's founding anniversary. The event was led by COL DON L.
