"LCCC joins National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill"

La Carlota City College participated in the 2026 First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, March 12. LCCC+Aiders convokes 7th Basic Life Support and First Aid Training

β€ŽLa Carlota City College’s LCCC+Aiders, in partnership with the La Carlota City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), held the 7th Basic Life Support and First Aid Training at the Friendship Hall, LCCC Main Campus, from March 9 to 13. β€Ž The five-day intensive program aims to equip participants with essential life-saving skills, ensuring that volunteers and trainees are prepared to respond to medical emergencies. β€Ž The event conducted seminars on various topics such as Introduction to First Aid, Guidelines in Giving Emergency Care, Emergency Care Demonstration, Patient Casualty Handling, Shock, Soft Tissue Injuries, Bone, Joint, and Muscle Injuries, Basic Extrication and Spinal Injury, Common Emergencies, Basic Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO). β€Ž Skills training activities included Medical and Trauma Head-to-Toe Assessment, Bandaging, Immobilization and Splinting, Basic Extrication, Lifting and Moving Techniques, Basic Life Support for FBAO, and an Amazing Race with Skills Stations. β€Ž β€ŽPresent in today's program were Prof. Laurence M. Philippine Army holds 129th Anniversary through Blood Drive at LCCC

β€ŽThe 605th Community Defense Center (CDC), in an effort to strengthen community ties and save lives, conducted a blood donation activity with the theme, β€œAng Inyong Matatag Ng Hukbong Katihan” held at La Carlota City College (LCCC)-Cubay Campus today, March 8. This event prioritizes blood donations to support citizens, students, soldiers, and reservists in times of emergency and disaster. It also serves as a highlight activity in their celebration of the Philippine Army's founding anniversary. The event was led by COL DON L. VILLANUEVA, GSC (INF) PA-605th CDC Director, along with MAJ CERIACO M. DENI-AY, (RES) PA-Commandant; 1LT RAYMOND NELVEN R. LCCC programs secure Level 1 and Level 2 accreditation from NNQAA

β€ŽLa Carlota City College (LCCC) was officially recognized for its commitment to academic excellence during the annual National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA) Quality Assurance Summit and Conferment Ceremony, with the theme "Responsible Future, Quality Assurance in Action", held at the Heritage Hotel Manila, March 5. The college was granted the 2024 Certificate of Accreditation following a rigorous technical review by the NNQAA Board and a recommendation from the Commission on Accreditation for Local Colleges and Universities (ALCUCOA), Inc. As per Board Resolution No. 21, Series of 2024, five academic programs at LCCC have officially achieved Level 1 Accreditation Status, while four programs have achieved Level 2 Status. The Level 1 accredited programs include: Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in Filipino (BSED Filipino), Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies (BAELS), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Major in Financial Management (BSBA FM), Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA), and Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA). Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in English (BSED English), Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in Mathematics (BSED Math), Bachelor of Elementary Education – General Education (BEEd GenEd), and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) have achieved Level 2 Status. This accreditation is valid from February 8, 2024, to February 8, 2027. According to the NNQAA, this accreditation signifies the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, sustainability, and transformation. For the LCCC Community, this designation serves as formal validation of the quality of instruction and administrative standards maintained by the institution. The conferment was led by NNQAA President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso and Chairman Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE. The award was received by Dr. Maylin M. Tongcua, LCCC's Vice President for Academic Affairs.
