La Carlota City College (LCCC) held the Opening Ceremony of the LCCC On-Site Accreditation at the City Gymnasium 1 last February 5. The national accreditation team is comprised of highly-esteemed presidents of different schools, colleges and universities namely: Dr. Imelda Soriano (Supervising Accreditor and Program Accreditor, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education); Dr. Rebecca C. Tolentino (Program Accreditor, BSED Math); Prof. Earl Joseph M. Borgoña (Program Accreditor, BSBA - Financial Management); Dr. Ronald Gonzales (Program Accreditor BSED English and BA English); Prof. Roilingel Calilung (Area Accreditor, Library); Dr. Valentino Baas (Program Accreditor, BS Public Administration); Dr. Dolores Borras (Program Accreditor, BSED Filipino); Dr. Rosemarie D. The ALCU-COA accreditation team will be in the city on February 5-7 to evaluate LCCC particularly on Governance and Administration, Faculty, Curriculum, Students Services, Research, Community Extension, Laboratories, Library, Entrepreneurship and Employability, and Physical Facilities by reviewing documents, observing classes, and visiting campuses and community extension sites. LCCC voluntarily applied for Level 2 Accreditation of the Education Department and Level 1 accreditation of Business Administration and Management Department and Liberal Arts Department. The accreditation is necessary so that LCCC can continue offering Graduate School Programs. More than this though is the belief that a higher accreditation is an assurance that the local college provides quality education as an institution of higher learning to its students..
